BYBLOS - the site of the most ancient port of the worldByblos or Jebial in Arabic, roughly 37 km from Beirut, The ancient city of Byblos, is said to have got its name from the Bible, and over the centuries has been home to the Phoenicians, Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Crusaders and Ottomans. Byblos goes back at least 7,000 years in history and culture and is considered to be one of the oldest towns in the world. Visit the mosque in the old part of Byblos. plus the interesting wax museum. The Romans have left a monumental fountain, a sanctuary, a colonnade & a magnificent amphitheatre. ![]()

TRIPOLI- the 2nd Capital of LebanonTripoli or Trablos in Arabic is about 75 Km North of Beirut walk in the streets of old Tripoli. See the Hamams (Turkish baths), Khans (Large Bazaars), Old Houses (Some belong to the Memluk Period), Fountains, and Handicrafts. See the famous citadel of Tripoli and some of the towers scattered in the city. Visit the castle of St. Gilles, the only remains of the Crusaders' 180 years reign. Tripoli is a living museum, preserving nearly a hundred important monuments from Crusader, Mamluke and Ottoman times. Distinguished remnants of the Mamluke period include the Great Mosque and the Mosque of Taynal. Today Tripoli is a prosperous industrial and business center.. |

BAALBECK- Greatest Roman Treasure85 km from Beirut. Cross the Mount Lebanon range and drive through Beqaa Valley Visit the temples of Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus at Baalbeck, the largest and best preserved body of Roman architecture in the world. The acropolis at Baalbeck (pictured) is the largest in the world. Stop off at Kasara and visit the winery , famous for using the Roman caves as natural wine cellars, producing many varieties of wine. Enjoy free wine tasting whilst watching a video on the wine making process. Go on to Anjar and stroll through the remains of a Roman town. On our return to Beirut our driver took us to a fabulous restaurant overlooking the hills and valleys, We had an excellent meal with the famous "Mezze" and spectacular views. |

HARISSAVirgin Of Lebanon Take the Cable Car, (Teleferique) a climb of 620 metres up to the outstretched arms of the Virgin of Lebanon, and get the spectacular view of JOUNIEH . You can find a cathedral, a restaurant and shops at the very top. Breathtaking views of Jounieh and the coast line.

JEITA- Caverns sculpted by water and timeJEITA GROTTO 20km North of Beirut. Plan at least two hours for this tour. Take the cable car or the Disney-like train if you prefer, to the caverns. Discovered by an American Missionary in 1836, the grottos cover a distance of 650 m and are split into two galleries on different levels. The lower caves are visited by boat over an underground lake 623m long, while a dry upper gallery can be seen on foot. Not to be missed. |
