We took the Mine's
Signature Indulgence Package which was inclusive of Buffet
Breakfast (we were never awake in time!) Welcome drinks and
fruit basket upon arrival. (2 oranges!!) Complimentary pressing
or laundry of up to 2 items per room per day. Daily local
newspaper.Complimentary access to the Hotel's fitness centre
and Zen Spa. Cross-signing facilities between Palace of the
Golden Horses and Mines Beach Resort & Spa. Our Chalet
was spacious with all amenities, including a kitchenette.
The view from the balcony was relaxing and entertaining! A
peaceful out of the way chalet. Perfect.
The beach lagoon was gorgeous and little
used. Designed on the shore of a spectacular 150-acre lake,
it is also reputed to be the only beach resort within the city.
The Spa has state-of-the-art fitness
equipment, a reading lounge, bar, mini theatre, whirlpool, steambath
and sauna. Pamper yourself from head to toe. From Shiatsu and
traditional Thai massage to manicure and foot reflexology,
One novelty was the water taxi ride
around the resort. A launch takes you across the lake into canals
that link into the heart of a busy shopping mall!!

An exciting shopping experience. Built around a canal
A shopping Complex with a lake running through it. This has to
be one of my favourite shopping experiences. Excellent range
of shops, all very reasonably priced. While we were there,
there was a show with Amaetur and professional singers on
stage

A lively and very busy hotel with fabulous
views of the theme park. Very attractive interior. They have
various packages including extensive medical screening tests
at unbeleivable prices. This Hotel has theme rooms such as
hollywood style, Cowboy style (bed is a wagon!) and others.
A great hotel for families.

The Sunway Medical Centre (SUNMED) is a private hospital offering
specialized tertiary healthcare services. The Medical complex
is an 8-level building with 240 beds and 45 specialist consultation
suites.
We were delighted with the professional clinical expertise
provided by qualified and experienced consultants, well-trained
and dedicated nursing staff, supported by medical technologies
and equipment. We were treated with care and attention. Our rating:

BEACH HOTEL
The Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel is an extraordinary hotel
with a 450-acre Golf and Country Club. various restaurants and
a lobby lounge serving sixty different kinds of Scottish whiskies!
We found the Mines beach resort to be more peaceful and relaxing.

We found this to be an expensive shopping center
due to most shops selling designer label wear. We enjoyed our
walk and bought some souvenirs. Other entertainment includes:
Ice Skating, Cinema's, bowling, and other amusements.

Batu Caves, Selangor
|
One of the most interesting places to visit while in
Selangor is the Batu Caves. To reach it enjoy a steep climb
(272 steps). During festivals, as many as 100,000 devotees
will visit.
This main Temple Cave has a ceiling looming over 100 metres
and features ornate Hindu shrines.
Just after Batu Caves, there's a Museum and Craft Shop.
Get a glimpse into the lifestyle and social culture of Selangor's
"original people" that is fast-disappearing with
development and modernisation.

Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque

Also known as the "Blue Mosque" The dark blue
dome is the largest of it's kind and the four minarets stand
at 142.3m, the world's tallest. Islamic calligraphy enhances
the dome and main prayer-hall,. The overall architecture
integrates ethnic Malay design elements. Can accommodate
roughly 16,000 people. Adjoined by a small man-made lake.
Before entering the holy premise, dress according
to the Islamic dress code.

The Fire-Flies, Selangor
Spectacular fireflies display, at dusk. Take a boat from Bukit Belimbing to see
the fireflies flickering like Christmas lights on mangrove trees lining the banks
of the Selangor river.
Taman Alam and Kuala Selangor
A nature reserve covering 240 hectares. Jungle trails, trekking and bird watching
activities. Over a 100 bird species have been identified here.
The National Zoo
An animal collection from all over the world as well as an impressive aquarium
and aviary, restaurants, picnic facilities and rides. 13 klicks from KL city.

walk to KL Airport. ideal for stopovers, transits. The hotel is a
haven, excellent service and facilities.

We were very fortunate to be offered 3 free nights. all meals
included. Compliments of Qatar Airways due to flight overbooking. We were delighted,
as you can imagine. This hotel was great and the food, superb, the fitness club,
to my delight was open 24hrs. The spa was good even though a little on the small
side. Te traditional massage was okay. A great way to spend our last few days
holiday. Thanks to Qatar Airways for their splendid care and attention.
