The
Christmas Tree
is a very spiritual symbol teaching us many lessons of
life. We cut down numberless trees and spend extortionate
amounts decorating them, but seldom stop to ask the question:
What does it all mean? This could perhaps be one interpretation.
That it is a reminder of us, the Human Family, living
and growing together in harmony. But let us start at
the beginning, always assuming there is a beginning!
The seed
is always buried, unseen, hidden, and underground. This
represents the Supreme, the Divine, the Creator, known
to all of humanity as God. God is the one Being who is
spoken about the most, by the majority, and yet whom
we know the least about. However, He too is invisible,
unseen, hidden, both in our subconscious and heart. The
seed is very often not revealed until the tree has reached
complete maturity and bears fruit. Hence, God as the
Supreme Seed, within whom is contained the DNA,
the knowledge, is revealed at the end and symbolized
by the shining star at the top of the tree.
The tree
is an evergreen - a reminder that the virtues in the
soul are for ever green. They dont
leave us; it is we who lose sight of them.
The different
ornaments on the tree represent all the variety of actors
on this world drama stage. Each one has their own place
(role) on their own branch (faith) which we accept and
appreciate without judgment or criticism.
The angel,
also at the top, is a reminder of our perfect, higher
form, i.e. the nicer side of all of us. As part of the
saying goes, there is a saint in every sinner. It is
only with the passage of time that we learn to understand
that all beauty and mastery lies within us, but only
when we uncover our angelic qualities. If someone does
a good deed, what do we say? They are an angel. Angels
are beyond gender, hence representing the virtues in
the soul which is also beyond gender.
So, whether
one is a Christian or not, the Supreme Santa comes in
the dark night of ignorance, laden with gifts of knowledge,
virtues and powers for all of us. Santa is not only a
reminder of the generosity of the Supreme Consciousness
embracing all the souls of the world, but also of our
current Time, the dark night. We may be dead to the world,
with our conscience half asleep; however, the present
time is calling upon each one of us to bestow gifts and
plant positive seeds for the future of humanity. Yet
we leave you with the ultimate question: which comes
first, the seed or the tree?
Seasons
